Please subscribe to Youtube channel WhyEvolutionIsTrue for more documentaries on evolution. www.youtube.com Delving further, and more imaginatively, into the evolution of Charles Darwin than ever before, the Mark Steel Lecture takes this modern hero off the ten pound note and into the present day. We follow him onto the Beagle and into the bedroom, and worry for his sanity as he fashions a turtle out of mashed potato. A tortured figure whose distress eventually forced him to take to his bed and watch Animal Hospital and Countdown all day (probably), this is the show that tells you things about Darwin you never knew – including his opinion on the taste of Galapagos tortoise urine. Featuring Martin Hyder as Charles Darwin and – in one of his final TV appearances – the late Bob Monkhouse as himself.

    Read Vox Days’ “The Irrational Atheist” and Wired Magazines observation that atheists tend to be quarrelsome, socially challenged people with unpleasant personalities such as Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens and Madalyn Murray O’Hair. One could reasonably hypothesize that there is likely to be a strong correlation between Aspergers and atheism. Aspergers Syndrome (AS) is a neurobiological disorder on the autism spectrum (some even claim it is merely Autism)

    I laughed. Why not bring out some information and have a good old chuckle alongside with it?

    @OldSchoolSkill Because, Americans deny the theory of Evolution and accept the theory of god and christianity…

    Bloody Brilliant this!
    Now, why don’t we see this kind of programming in the USA?

    @Appclypse
    I recommend Dihydrogen Monoxide. Diluted in a tall glass of water, naturally.

    @Totaltwist – Annoying, it used to make me so angry every morning. One because i couldn’t sing but mostly because even if you just paid lip service to it and moved your lips, you would get into trouble for not singing. Grrrr.

    @jonbob0008 – Yeah but it must be intolerable to have to live in a country with hannah montanah and justina baby face…. agagaggagaa……

    The beginning reminds me of the Eddie Izzard bits on the Anglican religion. “Cake, or DEATH!”

    I love how the Giraffe at 11:34 is just watching him like, “WTFuck is he doing?” as he jumps for the bag of chips.
