How and who would you define as someone with strong leadership qualities and admirable character?

Question by Hello there: How and who would you define as someone with strong leadership qualities and admirable character?
I’m trying to write an essay about someone w/ these qualities. I just can’t think of who–without being…cliche. You know, like “Abraham Lincoln” or whoever. I’m thinking along the lines of a general group of people–like doctors or soldiers. But I don’t know how to back up my thoughts on doctors…

Any ideas? Thanks!

I don’t think doctors are necessarily leaders NOR people with admirable character. Some are, some aren’t.

Soldiers might be a better sources as a group; or if you want to stay medical, maybe EMTs. They often show lots more leadership ability.

However, if you want to do someone different, here are a few ideas:

Col. Oveta Hobby, first commander of the WACS (WWII)
Gen. Patton (WWII)

Annie Sullivan

Teddy Roosevelt (not just for the presidency)

Neil Armstrong
