News Update: Dell CEO Michael Dell Fails to Win Support of Large Group of Shareholders

Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) Chairman and CEO Michael Dell failed to get support of more than 25% of the company’s shareholders in a vote held last week. Of the 1.5 billion votes cast, more than a quarter were voted to “”withhold”” support for Michael Dell as a director. Although a change in leadership is unlikely to occur any time soon, the unusual number of “”no”” votes does express some investor ire about the current direction of the company.
