Q&A: Did Gottfried Leibniz (the other crazy calculus guy) commit suicide?

Question by bitter_sweet_silence: Did Gottfried Leibniz (the other crazy calculus guy) commit suicide?
Can someone please email me the link(s) to any trustworthy website(s) that has information on how Gottgried Leibniz (the other calculus guy) died? I am writing an extra credit report on him and I want to know. Thanks!
Yes…we are all a little crazy.
By the way, the title of my paper is “Gottfried Leibniz vs. Isaac Newton.”
Why won’t it let me edit my own question? I spelled the man’s name wrong in the question – oops!

Checking the biography of Liebnitz in E T Bell’s “Men of Mathematics”, it doesn’t say anything to suggest Liebnitz commited suicide. About all it says is that his mental faculties were greatly diminished in the last years of his life. (He died at the age of 70.)
