Did Albert Einstein really have a quote about bee’s dying off?
Question by jft1217: Did Albert Einstein really have a quote about bee’s dying off?
I’ve been hearing about the decline in the bee population recently, and I came across this article today.

It claims to quote Albert Einstein.
“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man,” said Albert Einstein.”
But I don’t know if that is in fact a genuine quote. If it is, then I would say that article contains some very troubling information. But I want to verify the quote before I cirulate information like this.

The Einstein quote has no real basis that I can see. It is most likely an amazing example how something can be made up and then repeated endlessly on the Net.
The bee thing is very important. The Einstein quote controversy only distracts from the issue. I’d leave it out.
