Question by Tessaly: How did Charles Darwin Change Modern Science?
I was wondering how Charles Darwin’s Theory of natural selection affected other scientific beliefs? How did it change modern science? What would science and our world be like today if it wasn’t for Charles Darwin”

> How did Charles Darwin Change Modern Science?
He popularized the idea that populations change over time and can give rise to new species, and the “force” behind this was natural selection — a population has some individuals with inherited variations that give them a reproductive advantage.
He also popularized the notion that people, too, had evolved from animals.
> What would science and our world be like today if it wasn’t for Charles Darwin”
Pretty much the same. Without Darwin, then Alfred Wallace would have published his paper first, and you’d be asking “What would science be like if it weren’t for Alfred Wallace.”
