Q&A: Does anyone else think that maybe God put the Bible on Earth to test peoples logic?

Question by Dalton: Does anyone else think that maybe God put the Bible on Earth to test peoples logic?
I remember in church where they would put on skits that had a similar scenario to the following:
Steve, a scientist and an atheist, died in a car crash last night. Today he stands before the Lord and the Lord asks him,” Why did you not have faith in me?” Steve replies (tearfully), “Lord I didn’t know! How was I supposed to believe that book when it conflicted with my logic” To which The Lord replies, ” I gave you my book, the Bible, and told you to have faith in it and me, now you shall burn in hell for all eternity”

Anyhoo I created my own scenario in which God rewards logic:

Bill, a christian and pastor, died last night of AIDS from sharing meth needles with a gay prostitutes. The Lord asks him at heaven’s gates, “Bill, why did you brainwash people and teach them to kill in my name?” Bill replies,” God I had faith in you and the your word the Bible.” To which God replies, ” I am the most intelligent and supreme being and you really believe that is my word? Seriously! A talking snake! Do you have any common sense? Oh… wait what? You retrofitted science to fit the Bible and taught people the Earth was only 7000 years old? Burn in Hell for 199 years because I believe eternal punishment is too long for a finite number of sins”

Anyone with me on this? Should faith really be favored over logic?.
