Take Your Destiny into Your Own Hands – Rich Dad Poor Dad
“Let others lead small lives, but not you. Let others argue over small things, but not you.Let others cry over small hurts, but not you. Let others leave their future in someone else’s hands, but not you. not you.”- Jim Rohn
Byron Nelson, one of the featured mentors in the Multi-Million Dollar Mindset once taught me that “In order to create a beautiful symphony, the conductor must turn his back to the crowd.” In the Bible, The Chosen People were commanded to live their lives by a higher standard. From what they eat, to how they dressed, and every other aspect of their existence needed to reflect their special status.
You may or may not be a “chosen person” but you have most definitely made a CHOICE. You have chosen to take your destiny and that of your family into your own hands and build an enterprise.
In realizing that, you must be careful to be able to balance keeping your close relationships alive while not falling into the abyss of mediocrity by taking on too many of the habits and values of those who are not headed where you are headed.
Consume things that make you happy, but don’t allow yourself to be a bottomless pit of cash to the point that you have nothing but debt and doo-dads to show for all your work. Enjoy entertainment, but don’t allow your television time to outweigh the time you spend developing yourself and your skills.
You ARE a chosen person because you choose to be one. Act accordingly and it will pay you for life.
