Why are real kings and queens that are still living now are very rich?

Question by Chris: Why are real kings and queens that are still living now are very rich?
This just struck me while I was just watching a preview in youtube. Why are they rich if they don’t work? or do they? if so what is their job?

They can’t be richer than “bill gates” or other companies right? or trump? LOL
does it have to do with their history?
I’m just curious.

Some are, some aren’t.

They DO work.

They get their money, largely (and it varies from one country to another) from either taxes, which they may or may not levy, or gather from their governments, just as has been done for thousands of years) and/or from investments they have made.

Have you ever noticed that Most people who are fabulously wealthy and high society, don’t actually WORK. They live off their investments.
